Parent Volunteers – The Heart of our Club
At Huntingdale Junior Football Club, we believe that community and teamwork extend beyond the pitch. Our junior players learn, grow, and thrive thanks to the incredible support of parents who give their time and energy to help our club run smoothly.
Whether you can spare a few hours a month or want to get more involved, there’s a role for everyone!
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering is one of the best ways to:
- Be part of your child’s football journey
- Meet other families and build lasting friendships
- Support your local community and grassroots sport
- Learn new skills and gain rewarding experiences
Every bit of help makes a huge difference — and your contribution helps keep registration fees affordable and our club thriving.
Ways You Can Help
There’s a volunteer role for everyone — whether you’re handy on the field, organised off it, or just happy to pitch in when needed. Here are some of the ways you can get involved:
Game Day Support
- Game day set up / pack up - Help prepare the grounds before matches and tidy up afterwards.
- Siren and scoreboard duty - Keep score and sound the siren during games.
- Assisting in the canteen - Serve food, drinks, and snacks to keep everyone fuelled.
- Selling raffle tickets - Support club fundraising during home games.
- Providing fruit for your team - Keep players energised at halftime.
Team Support
- Washing team jumpers - Ensure the team looks sharp and ready each week.
- Assisting with training activities - Help coaches with drills, setting up cones, and encouraging players.
